Patrick Evans is currently in his fourth year serving as President of the Illinois Energy Association. Patrick previously served five years as Vice President and fifteen years as Director of Governmental Affairs for the Illinois Energy Association. He helps coordinate government relations and legislative strategies for the investor-owned utilities and electric generation companies in Illinois. Included is responsibility for tracking all industry related legislation along with developing and maintaining productive relationships with Illinois legislators and staff.
Patrick completed his baccalaureate work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a graduate internship program with the Illinois Legislature through the University of Illinois Springfield. He began his career as a legislative analyst for the Illinois House Republican Caucus. There, Patrick staffed the Personnel and Pensions, Public Utilities, Environment and Energy, Telecommunications and Local Government Committees, along with assisting on capital budget issues and the Illinois Commerce Commission budget.

Vivian has 18 years’ experience in state government serving as legislative advisor for various state agencies, as well as the Office of the Governor. She was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff as part of Governor Quinn’s administration and most recently acted as Legislative Director to Secretary of State Jesse White and Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias.
Vivian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Southern Illinois University. Her responsibilities at the Illinois Energy Association include working with all member companies to identify key legislation, develop and implement legislative strategies and negotiate legislation when necessary. She is also responsible for developing and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders in Illinois energy policy.

Brad is an experienced legislative staffer with a record assisting legislators, state agencies, and diverse stakeholders craft impactful public policy. Prior to joining the Association, Brad worked with the Illinois Senate Democratic Caucus for 6 years. As a member of the Senate staff Brad served as a Policy & Budget Analyst covering the Transportation, Environment, and Agriculture Committees. Brad holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics from the University of South Florida.
