The following are some bills of interest to the energy industry that were filed during the Spring Session of the 99th Illinois General Assembly:
House Bill 694 (Rep. Katherine Cloonen, D- Kankakee and Sen. Toi Hutchinson, D – Chicago Heights) – would provide enhanced tax treatment for a proposed combined cycle power plant in Grundy County. Passed the House of Representatives by vote of 111-0. Passed the Senate by vote of 55-0.
